Transcription involves listening to a recording and transforming the content into text.

How do we operate?
Whilst it is sometimes possible to get a fairly reasonable transcript by using specific software, this is only feasible with a very clear and neutral accent and with no background noise at all. A human transcriber is by far more adept at understanding different accents whilst understanding any overlapping speech and mumbling.
The time it takes to transcribe a recording depends on the quality of the recording, the speed at which people are talking, whether or not it is a one-to-one interview, background noise and the clarity of the voice. In rare instances where the recording is not clear the transcriber will highlight the unclear words in red or mark them as [unclear]. All transcriptions are proofread by our reliable team.
